"I got excellent feed back on my first book, Troublesome Creek, from Beth's class. Beth has a keen editorial eye," Jan Watson, author of Troublesome Creek.

Workshops, classes and retreats
I enjoy working with writers through classes, workshops and retreats. Here is a list of topics I've addressed in the past.
Write it, Revise it, Publish it a six-week beginning writing class
Foray into Fiction a six-week fiction writing class
Reignite your Creativity a one-day creativity workshop for writers
Inspiration & Craft weekend retreat for writers
I am presently developing a retreat that leads participants through Writing Your Faith Story.

Speaking
I also offer talks on Faith and Breast Cancer, Dealing with Breast Cancer from a Holistic Perspective, How to Start a Writers' Group and How to Become a Successful Freelance Writer and Editor.
Fees for these offerings vary. If you're interested in scheduling an event for your group or school, please contact Beth at writerbeth@windstream.net.

Mentoring
At the request of a local writer, I began offering mentoring services. If you are looking for someone to help you set goals, achieve those goals and provide feedback on your writing, I would be glad to talk with you about setting up a mentoring schedule that suits your needs.

"I enrolled in a writing class taught by Beth hoping to learn some basic skills so I could write interesting memoirs that my family might enjoy. I gained needed confidence and now write for a newspaper column. I also have had a poem and a story accepted in a magazine," Shirley Woods, newspaper columnist, poet and short story author
